pitted red sour cherries

1/2 cup heavy cream

Dissolve gelatin and sugar in hot water. Add salt, milk, lemon juice, almond extract, and juice drained from canned cherries. Freeze until mushy. Beat until light and fluffy.' Beat in heavy cream. Fold in cherries. Pile in parfait glasses. Freeze until firm. Makes 8 servings.

Out-of-This-World Pie

1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling

1 can (16 oz.) crushed pineapple (do not drain)

3/4 cup sugar

1T. cornstarch !

1 pkg. (3 oz.) cherry flavor gel-; atin

1 tsp. red food coloring (optional)'

4 bananas, sliced

1 cup chopped pecans

2 baked 9-inch pie shells J

In saucepan combine pie filling'undrained pineapple, sugar and, cornstarch; cook over medium heat until thick; add gelatin and food coloring, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat; stir in’ bananas and nuts. Spoon into pie shells. Refrigerate until firm. Garnish with whipped cream. Makes 2 pies. «"
