Another popular but seldomseen film of the era, Executive Suite, will be shown April 18. It stars William Holden, June Allyson, Barbara Stanwyck and Walter Pidgeon.
The films will be shown at the Gay St. Theatre at 7:30 p.m. On the Monday before each film the original novel will be discussed at a lecture^ at the Rappahannock County Library, also beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The speakers at the discussions will be two George Mason University faculty members, Professors Joel Foreman and Debra Bergoffen, and Dr. Peter Wirth, an independent scholar from Esmont. Dr. Wirth and Prof. Foreman have lectured at previous library series, and Dr. Wirth spoke on All the King’s Men, a Robert Penn Warren novel which also appeared on film at the Gay St. Theatre.
