George Nicholas Slater was
recently promoted at United Virginia Bank, Richmond, from assistant trust officer to trust officer. Mr. Slater, who joined the bank in July 1968 as trust administrator, is a native of Upperville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Slater. His wife is the former Mildred Buckner Fletcher of Sperryville.
Ray T. Cannon of El Rancho Grande Farm, Castleton, has received the Get-of-Sire award from the Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association for the third consecutive year. The award was presented last Friday at the Cattlemen’s Convention in Fredericksburg.
