Little League sign-up for ages 6 through 15 will take place March 12 and 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hackley Store parking lot. For more details call Clarence “Boosie” Dodson at 937-5218.
Amissville Full Gospel Church will host singers from Free Gospel Bible Institute, Export, Pa., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The church invites the community to attend.
Cub Scout activities
Cub Scout Pack 50 will hold its Blue and Gold Banquet and present awards Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. A highlight of the evening will be a fashion show by the leaders. The pack has 22 members.
The community is proud of these boys and the volunteers who give of their time and effort to insure our boys grow up to be fine citizens of the community. Leaders include Cubmaster Silas Martin and Assistant Thelma Martin; Clarence “Boosie” Dodson, Webelos leader (10year-olds), Jennifer Gray, Bear leader (nine-year-olds), Janet Hitt and Gloria Deal, Wolf leaders (eightyear-olds), and Cheryl Digges, Tiger Scouts leader (seven-year-olds).
Cub Scouts meet Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. New members are encouraged to join. Call “Boosie” Dodson at 937-5218 for more details.
Coming events for the Cub Scouts include spring clean-up April 9, when the Scouts will clean a fivemile stretch of Rt. 642 from Rt. 211 to Rt. 640; Pine Wood Derby April 18, and campout for fathers and sons May 30.
