makers Club, which meets the first Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church on Rt. 642, invites all women of the community to attend the meetings and workshops. Interesting programs are planned for each month. New members are always welcomed. You may call Mary Priest at 937-4072 for more details. Current officers are Mrs. Barbara Bradley president, Mrs. Nora Segrest vice-president, Mrs. Mary Priest secretary, and Mrs. Betty Jenkins treasurer.

The Amissville club joins other Rappahannock clubs in serving refreshments following the baccalaureate service and presenting a scholarship to a graduating senior at Rappahannock High School.

The club celebrated the 25th anniversary of its organization at a combination Christmas and anniversary party at the December meeting. A big cake decorated for the anniversary was served for dessert.

Charter members who are still active are Mrs. Omega Hitt, Mrs. Juanita Settle and Mrs. Mary Priest. Charter members who no longer belong to the club were invited to attend. All club presidents were recognized.

Currently a quilting class is being taught by Mrs. Katherine Riley to interested members and friends.
