The RAAC’s Artists’ Forum Series is presenting a program on “Getting Organized” April 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Blackwater Homestead. Sally Nash will lead this seminar for people who want to stop® feeling overwhelmed by it all, who often find themselves late with what they promised, who are halfway to school when their sixth grader suddenly remembers that his homework is sitting on the dining room table. It is for you. Learn to streamline your life through the use of simple techniques of time management and setting priorities.
The evening will start with a potluck supper. Cost is S3, and participants should bring pencil and paper. For information call 987-8451.
Spring event April 16
Washington Baptist Church’s major ftind-raising event of the year is scheduled to coincide with the Fodderstack Race on April 16.
Homemade baked goods including soup and fried chicken, apple butter and pies will lead the list of food items available. Refreshments also will be served. In addition, church members will sell nursery plants and trees and crafts supplied by the Baptist Young Women. Games for children will be held on the church grounds that morning.
“Not only does the spring event secure for our church much needed funds, but it gives us a chance to grow closer together at the Body of Christ as we pursue a common goal,” Rev. Larry Hovis said. Receipts for the day have been designated for the church’s air conditioning fund.
