Hunter education at RCES
The Virginia Game Commission will sponsor a Hunter Education and Safety course at the elementary school on Saturday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The course is free and open to the public. Hunters are reminded that, beginning July 1, the course will be required for all first-time hunters and any hunter 16 years of age or younger. Students are particularly encouraged to attend this course.
Fodderstack Classic 10K
The 10th running of the Fodderstack Classic 10K Road Race will be held Saturday, April 16, at 10 a.m. Start is at Flint Hill, finishing outside the courthouse in Washington. Pre-registration is $8, $10 day of race. T-shirts and trophies will be awarded. Post 1150 to meet
The Rappahannock County Post 1150 will meet on Tuesday April 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Sperryville.
Benefit dinner planned
The Warren County Council on Domestic Violence announces its fifth annual dinner to be held Tuesday, April 26, at Calvary Episcopal Parish Hall. The speaker will be Pat Groff, Project Director of The Shelter in Front Royal.
