Mattie Partlow
Mattie Houghton Partlow, 90, of Front Royal, died March 30 in the Tucson General Hospital in Tucson, Ariz.
Mrs. Partlow was bora July 23, 1897, in Washington, the daughter of the late William Hayes and Rovella Parnell Houghton.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the William Cary WMU Circle and an active member of the Alma Clayton West Sunday School class.
Her husband Elmer Mjyor Partlow predeceased her.
Surviving are a son Edgar Carson Partlow of South Beloit, 111., a daughter Anna P. Baldwin of Front Royal, two sisters, Mrs. Maurice Poe of Woodbridge and Mrs. Hubert McCracken of Fayetteville, N.C., 10 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted April 6 at the First Baptist Church in Front Royal by the Rev. Mark Jordon and the Rev. John P. Oliver Jr. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Milton Partlow, Allan David Partlow, Lawrence Elmo Partlow, Walter M. Johnson, Alton J. English and W. Eldridge Grogg.
Memorial contribitions may be made to the library fund of the First Baptist Church.
