int- nappanannock Anti-Litter '.League and You (RALLY) will officially open the county’s recycling shed at the landfill in Amissville on Saturday, May 13.
Nina Stamer, recycling coordinator, plans an informal celebration from 9 to 11 a.m. with refreshments and balloons.
The public is invited to attend add bring their aluminum and glass (Separated into clear, amber and green) for recycling. Newspapers should still be taken to the trailer behind the Amissville fire hall. • The landfill is located at the end of Route 639, two miles east of Route 211. The recycling shed is next to the public convenience area at the entrance of the facility.
Hours of operation will be the same as for the landfill: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
Please take advantage of the recycling shed and newspaper trailer so we can increase the life of our landfill.
