we've got baseball games to play.
That refrain should be the RCHS dirge, since weather has been the bane of the 1989 season for Rappahannock. If it was any consolation, the Panthers DID have the advantage over the rest of its soggy competition; other teams had missed even more games and were facing a tighter itinerary going into the final stretch.
Take Page, for instance. The Bull Run District leader’s schedule listed seven games in six days while RCHS had but four in those same six. But Tuesday’s showers washed away that edge along with the Brentsville contest, leaving four days in the season and four games for Rappahannock still to make up.
