where The Mountain Store is showing a collection of American handmade pottery, featuring designed with flying geese typical of her area. She also has a new line of porcelain items with prairie rose, tulip and iris designs which are so nice for Mother’s Day.
The Mountain Store will also feature pastel colored vases and flower pots decorated with a porcelain glaze and hydrangeas, water lillies, hibiscus, roses and iris on a white background. These are from , Emerson Creek Pottery in southern Virginia.
In recognition of this very special Mother’s Day, Mr. Pereira will give a gift to each mother and grandmother who visits the store. There will also be a big doorprize for one lucky Mom, and two other door prizes for children; an authentic replica of a John Deere model “G” tractor (“Waterloo Boy”) for the boys, and a handmade (in Virginia) Barbie doll dress for the girls.
