The Advisory Council of the National Honor Society at RandolphMaeon Academy in Front Royal announced that Gregory Thomas Williams has been inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. He was inducted in a ceremony at the school’s Boggs Chapel on Sunday, May 7.
To be eligible for membership, a student must earn a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5. Nominees must also meet high standards of leadership, service and character as evaluated by the Discipline Review Committee and the faculty.
Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors which can be attained by a high school student.

Rappahannock County High School’s senior math league team placed second in its district for the school year 1988-89. First place went to Wood berry Forest School in Madison, and third place to Wakefield High School.
High scorers on the RCHS team _were seniors Anne Franklin and ^Dwight Parker, followed by Anna Hudson and Wesley Jenkins. Beth Conover, a junior, was the only student who had a perfect score during a contest.
RCHS placed in the top 30 percent of all participating schools in Virginia.
