Mr. Brock’s car ran up onto an embankment and overturned. Two passengers in his car, Gwendolyn and Jacquelyn Timbers, were taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released.
Trooper Keen estimated that Mr. Brock’s car was a total loss, and approximately $3,000 damage to Ms. Ferris’s truck. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, he said.
Fire and rescue units from Washington and Sperryville responded to the accident.
Failure to yield charged
Roger Allen Huff, 20, of Washington, faces a charge of failure to yield the right of way after an accident on May 23.
According to Trooper Keen, Mr. Huff was turning left from Route 211 across the eastbound lane into the Ben Venue Market. He pulled into the path of an eastbound 1986 Ford van, driven by Bernice Jane Myers, 53, of Warrenton.
