the television and radio, in magazines and newspapers, it is not surprising that our children do have “dangerously misguided notions about sex.” However, the educator’s notion that education will “cure-all” is not the solution.
What we, as Americans, not just Rappahannock County residents, need is “wake-up” to the fact that our rights and privileges as parents are being replaced by state mandated rules and regulations. Sexual education (in school) clearly violates our parental rights, and makes a public exhibit of something w hich is. by nature, very private and intimate.
Yes, it is important that our children learn the facts - “facts taught by responsible adults,” as you said. But in God’s name, let those responsible adults be us, THE PARENTS!
