Ms. Henry, said farmers who enrolled in the 1989 wheat and feed grain acreage reduction programs should now prepare to certify or report their program acres.
Farm program participants in Rappahannock County have until June 15 to report the acres and intended uses of their wheat, oats, barley, rye and other fall-seeded crops to ASCS. Ms. Henry said some farmers reported these crops ' when they signed up for the 1989 programs. Small grain crops that are not reported by this deadline will be ineligible for program benefits.
ASCS uses acreage reports to determine compliance.
