LFCC offers
workshops on
communications
Three workshops on Clear Communication will be offered by the Small-Business Assistance Center, headquartered at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown.
The first, Clear Thinking, is scheduled for 1 p.m.-4 p.m., Jan. 16, with Prof. Felicia Cogan as workshop leader. Prof. Andrea Ludwick will conduct the Clear Speech workshop, also from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 20. Concluding the series will be the Clear Writing workshop, led by Prof. Anne Legge, 9 a.m.noon, March 20.
All workshops will be held in the Special Events Center at Lord Fairfax Community College. Registration fee for each workshop is $20.

While planned specifically for an audience of people in business, the workshops are open to all who are interested in developing greater clarity in their communication skills. Attendance at the entire series is not required.

Sign-up for the 1990 Chesapeake Bay Cost Share Program will continue until mid-January. The sign-up is being held at the Rappahannock County ASCS Office or Conservation District office in Culpeper. This program enables farmers to install conservation practices that protect Virginia’s waters and lead to moreproductive farming. Animal-wastecontrol facilities, stripcropping, sod waterways and no-till are just a few of the many conservation practices available for cost-share.
