“It’s up to the people,” stated Ms. Roberts, “and I still believe that this community cares about the fate of the homeless, the abused, the terminally ill; services that keep children off the streets with wholesome activities, training its mentally ill and mentally retarded adults, nursery school for its underpriviledged children and the other services provided for through U. W. funding.
“Government grants and funds are nonexistent,” said Ms. Roberts. “Only the people of the community can help.”
