A public hearing on the proposed
location of an improvement to US 211 will be conducted at 10 a.m. February 4 in the new Sperryville Fire Hall. Maps and other information on the project are available for public inspection and copying at the Culpeper District office and the Warren Residency office of the Virginia Department of Highways.
J. Newbill Miller, chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, led a dynamic discussion on County government at the Rappahannock Lions January 14th meeting. The three major items of the budget, Welfare, Administration, and Education were the topics discussed most thoroughly.

T rvin L. Kenyon, Jr., who has X served as Game Warden in Rappahannock for 8 years, has been promoted to the area of wildlife management from the law enforcement division. Mr. Kenyon will work in the Apple Manor Wildlife Management area in Fauquier County and in the Rapidan Wildlife Management Area in Madison. He will continue to reside in Rappahannock.
Tickets are on sale for the February 11 performance of the Richmond Sinfonia which will take place in the local elementary school auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Rappahannock Woman’s Club with the school PTA will sponsor the program and are handling ticket sales. The Richmond Sinfonia is directed by Jacques Houtman and is the first fully professional.
