Agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board raided the Horseshoe Hills Restaurant on U.S. 211 west of Sperryville on Friday, Jan. 5 and made arrests of three patrons for being drunk in public and underage possession of alcohol.
According to an ABC investigator, who requested that he not be identified, two undercover agents spent time in the restaurant last Friday during an investigation of complaints telephoned to the agency’s toll-free violations hotline.
During the investigation, the agent reported, the undercover agents observed allegedly intoxicated persons being served alcohol and loitering on the premises, as well as a patron they suspected of being under the legal drinking age of 21 consuming alcohol.
Both actions, the agent said, are violations of the state’s alcoholic beverage control laws.
Arrests were made by the ABC agents, assisted by Virginia State Trooper S.M. Knick, of Oscar Ray Sisk, 29, of Washington, and Edward Wayne Corbin, 37, of Sperryville, for being drunk in public. Gregory Allen Daczewitz, 19, of Woodville, was
