Fair time in Rappahannock County is almost here. The Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show will be held July 26-31 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on U.S. 29 south of Culpeper. One of the highlights of the fair is walking through the Homemakers Building and observing the baked goods and canned goods in the display cases.
A cook gets evaluated every day — sometimes it’s informally as family members critique the bread or dessert served at a meal. And sometimes it’s a formal evaluation as an entry in the fair.
