Myra Wood
Mrs. Myra Wayland Wood, 77, of Albuquerque, N.M., died July 14 in an Albuquerque nursing home.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Gordon and Mary Frances Bruce Wayland and the widow of William Henry Wood Jr.
A resident of Las Cruces, N.M., for about 30 years, Mrs. Wood was a draftsman and worked in the physical sciences laboratory at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Binns of Albuquerquer, N.M., and Mary Altus of El Paso, Texas; a son, William H. Wood III of Springerville, Ariz., 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters, Georgie McChesney of Richmond, Genevieve Imback of Culpeper, Frances Hyman of Silver Spring, Md., and Barbara Blalock of Warrenton; and two brothers, Henry Wayland of Castleton, and Edward Wayland of Woodbridge.
Funeral services will be held July 21 at 2 p.m. at Washington Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Jones officiating. Burial will be in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
