This week, 11 individuals are being served with trespass notices by the Sheriffs Department. Those notices bar those people from Mrs. Day’s property and that of Trinity Church.
Mr. Reynolds told the council last week that the present group includes people from outside town, who drive into the parking lot and are “horsing around, fooling with their cars. I tried to tell them this (legal action) is going to happen if they don’t police themselves.”
Mr. Miller, addressing the fear of retribution expressed by several residents, said “these people will live here for 30 or 40 years. They are not bad kids.”
“I won’t let my daughter walk home,” Council member Janice Moffett said. “I don’t feel comfortable with her walking.”
“It is costing the cafe customers right now,” Mrs. Willis added.
