Gwen Jordan, daughter of Mrs. Otis Jordan of Amissville, turned in a special performance at the Virginia Special Olympics held last month at Virginia Tech, finishing second in both the 200 meter run and the standing long jump. A junior next year at Rappahannock County High School, Gwen represented the county among the 1,500 athletes from around the state who competed in the Special Olympics.
