‘Dino-mite’ reading program
Millions of years ago dinosaurs roamed the earth. Today, children of all ages can learn about dinosaurs *md much more through the Rappahannock County Library's “Reading is Dinomite" summer reading program.
Virginia Scott will present this summer's first program at 10 a.m. July 10 at the library on Route 683. Mrs. Scott, a song stylist, will present dramatized folk songs and accompany herself on the autoharp. Everyone is sure to enjoy her “animated folksongs."
Many local merchants and community groups have donated the items that will be used as reading incentives throughout the summer.
The programs will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays from July 10-Aug. 14.
All “Reading is Dino-mite" reading programs are free and open to the public. For more information, or to register, drop by the library or call 6753780.
Slaughter rep Dutton to visit
Ben Dutton, a representative of U.S. Rep. D. French Slaughter Jr., will visit Rappahannock Countyat 10:30 a.Vn. Wednesday, July 10 to discuss any matters of constituent concern.
Mr. Dutton will be in the county courthouse until 11:30 a.m.

Washington hosts 4th events
The town of Wash i ngton holds its annual Fourth of July celebration all day Thursday, ending with fireworks on the lawn of Avon Hall.
