Participation in S.H.A.R.E. increased in June, according to Nan McEvoy, chairman for the S.H.A.R.E. Host Site at Washington Baptist Church.
“We had 33 participants, up from 27 in May. All of the same people signed up again, which speaks well for the food received and for the purpose of S.H.A.R.E.,” she said.
“I’m anxious to get S.H.A.R.E. really rolling, because the benefits to the community will be great,” continued Mrs. McEvoy.
Each month the S.H.A.R.E. food basket contains $30-$35 worth of groceries for which participants pay $13 and contribute two hours of service to their community.
