There are apple fanners in Woodville, peach growers in Sperryville and blueberry producers in Amissville.
Their market is usually local, extending beyond the county borders to Northern Virginia, Maryland and even Pennsylvania.
These growers are businessmen, knowledgable about their product, forecasting what consumers want, meeting needs and selling at competitive rates.
