After the School Board finished paying the bills at a special end-ofthe-year meeting this week there was $289 left to be returned to the county’s general fund.
Actually there was another $21,298, but that was unanticipated revenue for Piedmont Technical School, and it will be carried over for Piedmont until next year.
With the end of the year, the board paid for gasoline and coal to fill the storage areas, stamps and $10,000 for the cafeteria to start up next year. The board also paid for a new freezer for the elementary school cafeteria and three new computers, two for primary grades at the elementary school and one for the math department at the high school.
