Sea chanteys are sung

The Blue Ridge Arts Council, Inc. will present the Navy chorus, The Sea Chanters at the Front Royal/Warren County Amphitheater at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.

The group sings a variety of music, ranging from traditional sea chanteys to new Broadway. They also feature The Fair Winds vocal quartet, which performs madrigals, musical excerpts and pop and jazz favorites.

In case of rain the free event will be held m the Randolph-Macon Academy gymnasium.

Venus Jones performs benefit

Venus Jones will play a benefit for the Child Care and Learning Center at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 6, at the center on U.S. 211 in Washington.

Venus Jones performs a mix of rock 'n' roll and dance music, designed to entertain persons of all ages.

Tickets for the show, in the CCLC pavillion, are $7. Call 675-3237 for more information.
