The Board of Supervisors voted to increase building permit fees at their meeting Monday afternoon.

The basic rate of nine cents per square foot for houses was increased to 10 cents. Also fees for electrical, plumbing, and heating and air-conditioning inspections were increased from $15 per unit to $30. A new fee of $25 was adopted for temporary occupancy permits.

Fees for industrial, commercial, and institutional properties were also increased from 12 cents per square foot to 15 cents. Also fees for such inspections as plumbing and electrical for these properties were increased from $25 to $50 per unit.
