Traffic along the route will be restricted one-way or both ways, depending on if the road is two or four lanes.
In its former incarnation, as the Tour de Trump, the race had passed through Rappahannock, taking other routes. This is the first time in several years it has come through the county.
The 11-stage race will be chronicled with extensive television coverage. CBS Sports will broadcast shows on May 10 and May 17. ESPN will air nine 30-minute segments.
After passing through Rappahannock the bikers will head south along the Blue Ridge to Swift Run Gap, past Harrisonburg to The Homestead in Hot Springs, then east to Wintergreen, Richmond and north to D.C.
The finish line is at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium in the District.
