At Wakefield, students begin the study of French in first grade and many elect to continue through high school.
Recently one Wakefield student in French V was honored by being inducted into the French National Honor Society. Ms. Wood noted that this was the first year in her memory that a student at Wakefield had placed first in the state in any level.
