Roundabout
'Beauty and the Beast' Sunday
The whole family will enjoy the Sunday RAAC film at The Theatre at Washington, Va.: Walt Disney's "Beauty and the Beast." There will be two screenings, a matinee at 2 p.m. and the late show at 7:30 p.m.
Disney's 30th animated feature brings alive this great old fairy tale that is, perhaps, the most moving and morally beautiful of the studio's love fables for children.
Belle, the fable's provincial beauty, is Constrained by her fellow villagers and the grim prospect of marriage to narcissistic Gaston—the prince she wants is caught * inside the Beast. When the monster captures Belle's father for wandering onto his property, the encounter is ensured. Rated G.
Tickets are $3 for children and $4 for adults.
