With less than a week left until the public hearing on naming county roads for the soon-to-be implemented E-911 System, members of the Board of Supervisors and the Fire & Rescue Association report that to this point county residents appear relatively calm about the process that will change a number of state-maintained road names in the county.
The list, which was published in the Rappahannock News last week, was prepared by the Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association and is just the first draft. The public is invited to attend the hearing to make comments for or against the proposed road names. Suggestions can also be mailed in as well.
Robert Anderson of Stonewall-Haw thorne District said that the current list contains a number of errors.
