The marriage of Renee Elaine Viguerie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Viguerie of Castleton, to David Frank Coffman of Harrisonburg, took place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 4. The groom is the son of Paul Coffman and the late DeNeal Brock Coffman of Harrisonburg.
The ceremony was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington with Father Albert Verbeke officiating.
The bride and groom were married on the 56th wedding anniversary of the bride's grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. O'Leary of Houston, Texas.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was escorted to the altar by her father. She chose a formal length gown of white satin brocade, accented with Alencon lace, seed pearls and sequins, featuring a scoop neckline, short sleeves, and basque waistline, with a full skirt that flowed into a chapel length train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a wreath of pearls and silk flowers.
Maid of honor was Michelle Viguerie, sister of the bride, of Castleton.
Bridesmaids were Sandra Binda of Mesa, Ariz., Jill Rutherford of Front Royal, Bonnie Downey of McGaheysville and Victoria Barb of Broadway. Junior bridesmaid was Becky Coffman, niece of the groom.
The attendants wore tea-length polished cotton print dresses and wore straw hats accented w ith ribbons.
The wedding was of a country theme and the bride and attendants carried bouquets of mixed field flowers.
