Cool Carl’s concert went well at the theater last Saturday night. If I thought I could get that much applause, I would have had one of my own.

If there is anything that reminds me most of how unfair life is, it is my golf game. Last Friday I sliced my usual slice into the tall grass of the rough. My partner reminded me that you could not move the ball to a more acceptable lie when the ball is in the rough. (He had a wager on the outcome of this particular game).

A few moments before he had placed his ball into a better position in the middle of the fairway explaining that with the rules we were playing, this was acceptable in the fairway. Who needs to move a ball in the fairway, for crying out loud? In the rough or in the sand trap is where you need some help!

Unfair, it’s another instance where the rich get richer. The disadvantaged has to take the biggest whippen. That is why I have always advocated cheating at golf. That takes a lot more ingenuity and certainly adds a lot more excitement to the game.

It is like buying a new car. A rich guy goes in and the owner of the dealership sells him a car and takes a hundred dollar loss just because the guy is rich. The dealer bows and scrapes and whimpers.
