Mitch Terry who is stationed in Maryland with the U.S. Army spent the recent weekend with his mother Mrs. Irene Terry.
Belated birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Curtiss Weaver and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier who celebrated theirs last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory were in Harrisonburg Friday evening where they dined at Eva’s Restaurant to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Children Joseph and Jennifer spent the time with Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Whorton and family at Rixeyville.
Saturday the Peregorys were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke at Rochelle having lunch and enjoying some of the “Yoder’s Market” famous barbecue and other goodies.
Recently on Sunday Mrs. Betty Powers attended the 90th birthday party for her aunt Mrs. Mary Eastham Yowell at the Cedar Run Baptist Church.
Capt. and Mrs. Danny Sims and their four children have arrived from their tour of duty in Hawaii and are with Mrs. Sims’ parents Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Butler who on Sunday entertained with a cook out welcoming the Sims’ home. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Scott Keithley of New Baltimore, Ricky Shaw of Sperry ville, Eilse Keithley of Rixeyville, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Butler, Stephanie and Gregg and Gregg’s friend, Mrs. Wayne Butler and daughters Tammy and Angfela and Mrs. George Butler Sr., all local.
