remedies were suggested: using a lesser wattage of light bulb, which would mean the town would then be responsible for the cost of the light bulb, using a color corrected bulb, which would cut down on the color and the glare or sandblasting the interior of the plastic globe which would reduce the glare as well.
Mr. Bowman of Potomac Edison informed the group that Potomac Edison is under mandate from the State Corporation Commission as to their rate schedules. However, there is a period when they can be petitioned to change their stock. There was some discussion as to petitioning Potomac Edison to change their stock to include a 50 watt bulb. Mr. Bowman said that there were a number of small towns that were interested in the lesser wattage bulb. Mr. Bowman also said that if the town used the 50 watt bulb, it would be charged 50 watt service. However if Potomac Edison stocked the 50 watt bulb there would be a possibility that the rate would be lower.
