Carnival in Sperryville
The Sperryville Fireman’s Carnival will be held Wednesday, June 2 through Saturday, June 5.
The carnival features a parade starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday plus rides, hot dogs jind hamburgers every evening. Handmade goods will also be on sale.
Tax Relief for Elderly
Special tax relief for the elderly has been approved this year. To apply for the program, contact the Commissioner of Revenue at 675-3513.
4 Slots Left at Camp
Four slots remain for the high school RCHS “All Net” Basketball Camp, and about 18 remain for the elementary camp. This year camp is split into two sessions.
Camp for students entering kindergarten through seventh grade next year will be Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25. Camp for students entering 8-12th grades next fall will be Monday, June 28 through Friday, July 2.
Cost of the camp is $85; a minimum of $40 must be paid with registration. The remainder is due before starting camp.
Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for elementary students and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for high school students.
