; June at the Middle Street Gallery in Washington features Front Royal painter Chris Stephens, known for his landscapes in acrylic on paper.
Chris Stephens has been a professional artists for ten years. He has been Warren County’s Artist-inResidence five years and a member of Middle Street Gallery for three years. He is currently the nonprofit, artist-run gallery’s president. He teaches two-dimensional visual art at the Virginia Governor’s School in Richmond. He lives in Front Royal with his wife, Ida, a commercial printing consultant, and his three daughters.
The show comes to Middle Street from Stephens’ exhibition at the Greater Reston Arts Center, where he was awarded a solo exhibit by the juror of its annual members’ show.
The show will be open from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, June 5 with a special musical presentation at 4 p.m. by Abigail Rose, a flute and harp duo.
