Outside of the regular budget, the state has provided a grant for ug to computerize our collection and tjo gain on-line access to other collections. This should be in place by th£ end of the summer. r
The rest of the budget goes to operating and maintaining our lovely new building. There is really no “fat” in the budget. Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of donors, there |s no debt. The building is completely paid for.
The county has been generous m its financing to operate and to heft) modernize. As the county funds ipcrease, the state increases its funding to match, and becomes more sensitive to our requests for grants!
Thus we can add to and diversify our collection and provide a significant supplement to our public ai|d private educational systems, to our disadvantaged and under-educate!d adults, and to those temporarily copfined under the sheriffs care.
