Willie Woodward
Willie Morgan Woodward, 89, of Etlan, died Friday, May 21 at Autumn Care Nursing Home, Madison.
Born May 23, 1903 in Madison County, he was son of the late William Ashby Woodward and Allie Dodson Woodward.
Mr. Woodward was a retired sawmill operator and member of the methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Broyles Woodward of Etlan; two sons, Hage Wesley Woodward of Rappahannock County and Dewey Franklin Woodward of Etlan; five daughters, Beulah W. McDaniel and Allie Marie Haley, both of Madison, Mary Lee Carpenter of Aroda, Betty Lou Fincham and Connie Ramona Dyer, both of Etlan; 16 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances May Dennis.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 24 at Etlan United Methodist Chruch with interment in Etlan Cemetery. The Rev. Patricia Murphy officated.
Pallbearers were Phil Jenkins, Winfred Dyer, Johnny Broyles, Carl Broyles, George Clatterbuck and Pete Richards.
Preddy Funeral Home in Orange was in charge of the arrangements.
Clifton Fincham
Mr. Clifton Burton Fincham, 73, of Culpeper, died on Friday, May 28 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
He was born in Rappahannock County on June 30, 1919 the son of Gilbert L. and Violet Jenkins Fincham.
Mr. Fincham is survived by six sons, Gilbert Lee Fincham of Culpeper, James Clifton Fincham of Etlan, Oscar Ray Fincham of Rixeyville, David William Fincham of Culpeper, Carroll Eastham Fincham of Banco, and Jimmy Allen Fincham of Culpeper and four daughters, Shirley Ann Henshaw of Stanardsville, Patsy Cox of Goldvein, Lille Mae Waugh of Madison, and Bonnie Lou Fincham of Madison.
He is also survived by a brother, David Fincham of Warrenton and three sister, Mrs. Leola McCloud, Mrs. Beulah Coughlin, and Mrs. Rebecca Weaver, all of Culpeper. Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 30 at Found & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Shifflett officiating^
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
