Thursday morning, I was required to be at my project to greet the public and answer questions. Hundreds of school kids visited the Fair. At noon, I convinced Zee and his dad to jet-ski, and all four of us went out. That evening the Special Award Convocation Number 1 was held. Neither Zee nor I won a thing at this ceremony.
Friday morning, Special Award Convocation Number 2 was held. The IEEE Computer Society presented me with a thrid-place special award. This was a plaque, $150, and membership in the IEEE Computer Society.
Later, at the ISEF Grand Awards Banquet, Zee won third place in his category winning a plaque, and $200.
The two winners of the entire fair were presented an all-expensepaid trip to Stockholm, Sweden, to attend the Nobel Peace Prize Awards Ceremony. The winners were also presented a four-year $8,000 scholarship to the college of their choice. That night we took down our projects.
Saturday morning at 5 a.m. we awoke to catch the bus that took us to the Gulfport Airport and eventually back to Rappahannock County.
