Mrs. Falls is not alone. The Beauty Box has many customers who faithfully come every week for an appointment. Mrs. Moore hopes they retain their loyalty in the new location, and she they believes they will because the new shop should be easier to park near and easier for the customers to get in and out without climbing stairs.
She plans to make sure the new shop will have handicapped access. “I have a lot of elderly customers,” she said.
The parking shouldn’t be much of a problem either, since the dentist’s office is open only two days a week.
Mrs. Moore keeps a file card on every customer who has a hair color change or permanent so she can look back and tell the history of a customer’s hair.
The Beauty Box has been in its present location since May, 1980.
The original shop, which opened in May, 1976, wasm the building on Gay St. where Roger Batchelder’s office is now.
