Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with experience in the application of complex engineering principles & practices relating to structural desgin; and/or , education, training or bridge safety experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the described duties. Operates light & medium duty highway equipment, such as 3-ton dump trucks, tractor mowers, rollers & brush chippers in the construction, repair, & maintenance of roads & their surrounding . right of ways. Performs manual labor, such as loading/unloading materials, cutting brush, cleaning ditches, flagging traffic, & snow removal; & performs preventive & minor maintenance on equipment. Must know safety practices; be skilled in highway maintenance & repair; be able to operate light & medium duty highway equipment & perform manual labor; & possess safety shoes & a Commercial Driv. er’s License (CDL).
