Beginner Quilt
Making Course
■ • Belle Grove Plantation will offer • a six week beginner quilt making ‘ churse from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ’ sind 6-9 p.m. to begin Monday, Jan. 17. All classes will be held at the house museum which is located one mile south of Middletown on U.S. Route 11. ' ’ Students, instructed by Margie Hockman, will learn basic quilt making techniques by constructing a six block wallhanging. Instruction will •be given in pattern drafting, color and fabric coordination, precision hand piecing, applique, hand quilting, and binding. Participants will complete the course with knowledge of basic skills and the ability to complete any basic quilt of their choice.
