The board of the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) is sponsoring a benefit brunch at the Bleu Rock Inn to raise funds on behalf of the animals.
It is scheduled for Sunday June 12 at 1 p.m. The board had the good fortune to engage Dr. Michael W. Fox as the speaker for this exciting event. Dr. Fox holds a veterinary degree and a doctorate in psychology from London University.
He is the author of over 30 books on animal behavior and care. He authors the national syndicated column “Animal Doctor” and writes an animal care column for McCall’s Magazine. Dr. Fox is currently a vice president of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Following the brunch he will have and “ask the Doctor” session on the lawn of the Bleu Rock.
In our exhibit area we will have some of Dr. Fox’s books available for purchase and autographing, including: Inhumane Society, Understanding Your Cat, Superdog, Supercat, Soul of the Wolf, and the Healing Touch.
