Members of the Rappahannock County Garden Club welcomed good weather at their May meeting with a plant exchange program. Everyone was asked to bring favorite perennials, with information about the plants and their culture, to exchange with others. A varied selection included something to please everyone and the table of plants was soon emptied as members tucked chosen pots by their purses for safe keeping.
President Helen Brown presided over the business meeting and reported on the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs convention which she attended recently with member Helen Holschuh and Florence Nordone. The club complimented Helen (Mrs. David) Smith and Carolyn Emerick on the Junior Garden Club garden at the library. The area by the big rock has been a riot of bloom this spring
