thanks to the work of the Junior Club for which Helen and Carolyn are advisors.
With spring blooms in abundance, the display of horticulture specimens was extensive. Flowers and shrubs were shown and many received blue ribbons for their excellence. Lucia Kilby won two ribbons and one each went to Betty Smith, Helen Fairfax, Edna Metzinger, Helen Platt and Carol Miller. The theme for artisitic arrangements was “Wedding Party” and nosegays suitable for a bride or bridesmaid were shown. A real talent for floral design was evident in the nosegays that were exhibited. A blue ribbon for the smaller arrangements was awarded to Celine Siira and Carol Miller won a blue for a stunning bridal bouquet.
Hostesses for the meeting were Frances Russell, Lucia Kilby and Christine Johnston.
