Virginia drivers will be asked to make their organ and tissue donation perference known to the Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of licensing. This program began May 10.
When Virginians obtain a driver’s license, they will be asked to decide if they want to be an organ or tissue donor.
These indicators will become part of the driver’s record. If the driver states a preference when being licensed, the hospital would share this decision with the family of the driver. Permission from your next of kin is required by
