2 tablespoon lemon juice
In small saucepan combine sugar and water. Stir over medium heat to dissolve sugar. Bring to boil, redftce heat and simmer five minutes. Cool to room temperature. In container of electric blender combine sugar mixture, strawberries, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, scraping sides of container as needed. Pour into shallow bowl. Freeze until firm about 1 inch around edge. Beat until smooth with electric mixer or processor. Return to freezer; freeze until firm. Remove 15 minutes before serving. Spoon into individual dishes. Garnish each serving with additional strawberries and accompany with cookies, if desired, (makes 6 servings)
Double Strawberry Shake
1/2 cup strawberry preserves ;
3 cups cold milk j
2 scoops strawberry ice cream .
Place all ingredients in blender container, process until smooth. Serve at once (makes 2 servings).
